The Journey

We got our new car last Thursday. Yes. Finally, after waited for a few months because we wanted a 2008 manufactured car. Initially we thought we will only get the car after Chinese New Year, quite surprise that we will be able to get the 2008 manufactured car in Jan itself. We manage to get the number that we wanted also although we think that the number is quite expensive. This number has been follow us for a while, we thought it is nice if we can have the same number as both of our headphone. Btw, both of our headphone number come co-incidentally, we didn’t purchase the number.

Getting a new car is full with excitement. This is the first time I’m going through the process of buying a new car as I never got a new car before… (kesian dia..). Driving the new car around town with the extra careful mindset. It takes a while to get use to it as we use to drive a small car.

Pray and hope that this car is another faithful car that will serve us well in the long day to come.

It has been a while I didn’t update this blog. It not that I have nothing to write just get carry away by the lazy bug again. OK now I’m back. Back from where ? Back from being lazy.

Time Fly, Zoe has reached 13 month++ and now is a time being very playful. Some people tell me kid at this age is born to be playfully and naughty. She has learned to walk at 11 month, kick ball at 12 month and now try to run. That’s why most of the casualty happen, fall down “pok ku” when she run.

Watching TV is her favorite past time for this moment. Barney – the Night before Christmas and Baby MacDonnald from baby Einstein is at the top of the list. She will stand there, clap the hand and “try” to dance around when something excite her. The “world view” from the little girl like her is simple and innocent. That’s something that constant melt our heard. It is a great excitement for the parent to be able to experience the entire process of rising up a child. I have constantly reminded myself to treasure all the great moment.

Of cause there are time that are not so great and time where she try to be chicky and doing something that is not so cleaver. From time to time she still wake up in the middle of the night, Seeking for attention. Some time she wanted a drink, change diapers or even milk milk. All those will be soon forgotten as she grown up. Only the great moment remain fresh in memory.

Today is the first day back to work on 2008. Although there are no significant different but the New Year always gives us a feeling of a new start and a new beginning.  All challenges and all sad stories that took place in year 2007 has been archive and now everybody have a new start again in this 2008 year.

I strongly believe that this year will be an interesting year with lot of event that queuing up in the pipeline.  The election, Olympic, petrol price hike, US subprime issue, the global economy and so on. On the personal level, I believe this year will be a better year with lot of event queuing up as well.  The new car, Zoe growth chart, the financial, the carrier. The joy of looking at Zoe growing up is unexplainable. Definitely looking for the best for this year.

Success is a journey not a destination.

Happy Birthday Zoe. Yesterday having a “small” party for Zoe birthday at the Koi Tropika Pool Side.

Also take this opportunity to celebrate House warming, Christmas, New Year and may be both of our birthday as well.

Overall the party when well, just a bit out of control because this is the first time we are organizing party of this size. Some of the guest came late; the event start at 5pm and the last guest arrive at almost 9pm. There are limited parking space in the condo compound and have to guide some of the guest to park behind and a number of them got lost while try to go to behind gate. Some of them park at the side gate which we need to arrange for the gate to be open for them to come in. Zoe “po-po” during cake cutting… and number of friend and relative when for house tours. The running up and down from the pool side to our house at 18th floor is unmanageable. 

Other than that we grateful that everything when well, although we don’t have much opportunity to really catch up with some old friend.  Thanks my wife for organizing this great Birthday Party. 

Done a review for this year resolutions, didn’t score very well. Score 2/10..heem.. will carry some of it to 2008 and hope that 2008 will be more fruitful year.

Today is boxing day, the 2007 has almost come to the end. This has been an interesting year. I will call it a year that has begun a new chapter. New chapter toward maturity in life. It is time of the year to count your blessing and do “some” planning for the coming year. Let me see, where shall I begin to count for 2007…

The first day of 2007 is the biggest gift from god that we receive this year. The Arrival of our lovely daughter – Zoe. After that life seem to be blinked over quickly and the next thing we know it already year end.

Great thing that happen this year

• Move house – Being waiting for the completion for a while, finally we move in. Manage to find a great contractor that we became friend later. Good neighborhood, at least we know our neighbor by name.
• Change Job – After being with my 1^st job for almost 9 years, this is the first time I change Job
• SG retreat – We have SG retreat to Melaka, together with all the babies
• PN Change Job – Nearer and better environment
• Apartment rent out smoothly - Although they didn’t stay there for long. Manage to get replacement tenant quickly.
  The Kelisa is in good shape and serve us well – although there are some minor repair here and there.
• We ordered a new car – coming soon
• We got a notebook of our own – month after that PN got a company notebook
• Zoe when back KB see Great Grandma – Zoe first flight

Not so good thing that happen this year

• Tenant from Hell – one of our apartment rented to bad tenant, the deal turn bad after a while.
• Zoe fall sick a few times this year – Blame it to IKEA
• I work for lady boss – no comment
• More then 4 month to get the streamyx working – telekom’s standard
• PN fall sick and when for Gall bladder removal operation
